To Kate, if Ali wants to spend her money or surgeries that helps her boost her self esteem i think there is no problem with that. Besides its her money.

I agree with kyla, here is a brief eye opener for those who want to try liposuction:The Liposuction Procedure The basic liposuction procedure involves the insertion of a small, tube-like instrument called a cannula through tiny incisions made by the surgeon. The cannula then breaks up and vacuums away unwanted fat deposits beneath the skin. Local or IV sedation will be used, depending on the type and number of liposuction procedures you undergo. As with any plastic surgery, you should prepare for liposuction carefully and allow yourself plenty of recovery time. Risks and Benefits of Liposuction Like any plastic surgery, liposuction carries some amount of risk. Although liposuction complications are rare, they can include infection, nerve damage, seizures, and negative reactions to anesthesia. The most effective way to minimize your risk is to have a thorough physical examination prior to liposuction surgery. There is also the risk of experiencing adverse side effects, such as bruising and scarring. On the other hand, the benefits of fat and cellulite removal can be enormous, with many patients reporting improved appearance, self-esteem, and overall confidence.

It seems there is a medicine for everything now. Take the weight loss pills for instance. All they say in commercials is "take these and you will lose weight." They know how to appeal to lazy fat people. Great now I don't have to get off the couch, exercise, or eat healthy to lose weight! That's what they want you to think.

And... the result will be you'll get diseased and sick... if not fat too!

Here is an easy yet effective way of reducing weight Power Walking Instruction: Warm-up for five minutes and then power walk for 15 minutes. Generally, a good speed is between 3.5 mph to 4 mph. Immediately go to the next exercise. Movement: # Power walking is a mix between walking and running. The technique is more like walking, but the idea is to get to speed closer to running. Key Points: # Power walking is a safe, low-impact activity that provides a great workout. It is an activity that can be performed year-round, outside, in the gym or at the mall. # Wear comfortable clothing, and most importantly, comfortable walking shoes. # Anyone with the approval of their physician may participate in power walking for cardiovascular fitness.

I do wonder what supplements are meant to counter. What purpose do they serve in a healthy persons diet? Stan, people react differently to junk food. A friend of mine was telling me that if she was to feed on junk for a week or so, she would put on a considerable amount of weight. Dieting is good but not when it is pushed to the point of looking skinny.

I think the idea behind supplements is that it is impossible to get all the nutrients we need from our food.Of course, that must be false because life has progressed on Earth for millions of years... but has man messed it up so bad that the "food" we make for ourselves doesn't support our own life without "supplements". I think sadly, the answer is yes. That doesn't mean you can't make an extreme effort to eat natural and unprocessed foods and avoid the need for supplements. Look at "white rice". We take something healthy and nutritious, rice, and remove all the nutrients and then bleach it... so we have a pretty white filler for our tummies... that offers us no nutrition.

This is very good advice Edward, because if a person has a thyroid problem they will not lose the weight they need to with dieting. So don't spend a fortune on your diet supplements or whatever method it is you are choosing, without seeing a doctor first. Also, your doctor may be aware of diet scams, and ask you which one you are going to use, and advise you against that, which would be helpful in your choice. • Page 1 (Original Post) • Page 2 (Newest Replies) •
