It is very important for pregnant women to take good care of their health. Hence, they also have to control their weight. Otherwise it will be hard for them on delivery period. The most important thing is to eat enough fruit and vegetables. At the same time take enough calcium in order for the baby's bones to develop well. It is also necessary to consult the doctor in regular manner.

It is important that pregnant women try to control their weight during pregnancy. There are certain complications to arise when giving birth when a pregnant woman gains too much weight. And it is also not safe for the baby inside her if a pregnant lady would continue gaining weight.

Just try eating healthy and have some exercise. Yes, even pregnant women can have exercises, it is good for their health.

Hi there!

Some say in the past, that a pregnant women should eat double the amount they consume because they need it both by the child. a suggestion from a non pregnant woman, eat a lot of fruits and vegetables they are really needed in most amount by the two of you. Avoid most fat containing foods and junk foods.

Call me a dumb guy for saying this but isn't one of the genetic points of pregnancy set up so that the mother will gain weight during pregnancy, to provide enough nutrients to the growing baby to make sure it developes healthily? There's plenty of time to lose weight after the delivery so don't worry about it when you're pregnant. Am I wrong?

Health is very important especially when you are pregnant. You must be conscious of the food that you take because that is also what the baby is eating. Exercise, proper diet, eating fruits and vegetables are the things that a pregnant woman should do. It is important that even still at the womb; a baby can get enough nutrition to also keep her body healthy.

It’s definitely hard not to gain weight during pregnancy! There are certain things you want to eat; certain things you simply loathe and the system is built in such a way that the baby gets the nutrition he/she needs depleting the mother, if necessary. That’s why it’s important for mothers to take care of themselves – to eat a nutritious diet and exercise properly. With that said many mothers are eager to lose weight after delivery and while they can engage in mild exercise if the delivery is normal and the stitches after giving birth have healed, it’s best to start a diet and exercise regimen only after consulting with your PP, 6 weeks after delivery.
