What do you all think about the China Study?

Only whole plant foods.

No Meat.

No Chicken.

No Fish.

No Eggs.

No Milk.

No Cheese.

No nothing that comes from animal life forms.

Only natural, whole plant foods, ie: no white flour, no sugar, etc.

I think this is not the right away of eating and and is only a social descrimation type of a thing and should never be followed.....

Meat and specially milk is important for good health.

Plant are good but they are not still enough for human body

:)

If you read his book, you'll have a couple hundred pages of explanations of why you are wrong. You'll also learn why the "studys" that say "milk" is good for you don't really say that. Only the newspapers tell us they say what.

Aside from that book... the purpose of cows milk is to make baby cows fat. Are our babies baby cows? Are we baby cows? When we drink cows milk we start to get big (fat).

Comment #3 KABIR from around the globe (Contact Member) -

It is about my method of thinking about the nutrition and as you say about cows, we are not baby cows but are children are alike....

They need for growth that in your words means getting big........

The rich content of calcium in it makes our body strong and this you would also be knowing

We would be grown ups and would not be requering nutrients for growth but the babies need it atmost and this is the best way of nutrients to our babies

If you think it is not worth! , request a mother to not to give her baby milk or try to see it your self.........

I think we have to keep an open mind regarding food habits. Whether or not Chinease food is good for health should be known to us if we observe a common chinease person. I think they are very health, hard working and less prone to common diseases. From this result we can assume that their food habit is good.

China is one of the strongest countries in the world, so there are lots of food which are made of meat, fish and so on.You didn't eat meat , which proved you came from a poor country.

I think everyone has a right to decide on what they wanted to eat or not. It is just a matter of respect. I am not a vegetarian but hey let's just respect their eating habits. As long as you are enjoying the food you eat and it is recommended by your nutritionist, guess it is alright.

If your society is paying for your "health care, " do you have the "right" to eat stuff that is not "healthy?".

Should the Coca Cola Company and other soft drink makers be especially taxed for their negative impact on the health of the public?

Should those who respect their bodies be forced to pay higher taxes for the medical care of those who don't?

you cant just live off of plants.. the human body needs meats and other things that animals provide..

You can certainly just live off plants... many people do and most of the animal kingdom does... including many animals that are much stronger than you.

I think... therefore.... I answer.

(For the sake of discussion)

Ted> If your society is paying for your "health care, " do you have the "right" to eat stuff that is not "healthy?".

Me> Life is always "is" a matter of choice, if they want to, I believe they can eat whatever they want. The problem is they "don't", maybe they are too obliging for a citizen, unlike the united states where everything and everyone is liberal.

Ted> Should the Coca Cola Company and other soft drink makers be especially taxed for their negative impact on the health of the public?

Me> They should have been (and I wished it was a long time ago), maybe it is somewhat relieving or it softdrinks tastes good, but in a long run you will suffer greatly.

Ted> Should those who respect their bodies be forced to pay higher taxes for the medical care of those who don't?

Me> No!, like I said it is a matter of choice. That is the price those who neglect their health should pay. The government has already been funding them to have a good health but they didn't heed, so it is up to them to budget that money. See this is a world of free will.

if this is the way chinese people eat than why do they have such damn good food, such as their general sos chicken! haha I think you might be mistaken but could be right, but if so, they are missin out on their own damn delicious food.

Comment #12 George from Salt Lake City, Utah (Contact Member) -

You think what is served in "Chinese" restaurants in the USA is the same thing every one in China eats?

Why don't you read the above mentioned book and open your mind a bit! One point the book makes is that the general diet of the Chinese varies considerably depending on the region of China you are in.

Remember the USA is just a small little country in size and population compared to the world and many other countries!

I would have to agree and say this is not a very good way of eating. you need your meats for protein and also for energy. There is no way that only eating plants is good for you let alone healthy for you. I would definetly check more into this before making it your diet or anything else, and also ask your physician what he thinks also.

Comment #14 George from Salt Lake City, Utah (Contact Member) -

Just how does that COW which you are so fond of eating... get the protein and energy to create all that meat you want to eat?

The COW might be able to just eat plants but it also eats his feed.. Which is loaded with protein from the feed mill.. All the nutrients a cow need to grow big and strong and yummy to eat when we butcher it is all in the ingredients of the food he eats.. Different cows have different feed mixtures so each cow if getting all the proteins and ingredients it needs..

Research deeper... in some other countries... with much higher quaility of beef than the USA... have free range cattle... they eat... just grass... non of the fattening feed mixtures.

Good for other countries John. I am plenty well informed on what goes into cow feed. I work at a feed mill. I make all kinds of different mixes for different cows. The people in the USA are doing just fine now aren't they. A little drastic on the dots ya think! Your post is annoying. Learn how to type.

The people of the USA are doing just fine? Are you kidding. Look another.. people are getting fatter and fatter, sicker and sicker, and looking to a magic pill from the doctor to solve all their problems.

The people really can't be blamed... as they go to a grocery store and are presented with a boatload of junk representated as "food".

Once you've gone a couple years eating none of the prepackage, prepared stuff... and that includes the hormone injected stuff too (even if it doesn't look "prepared")... well.. you'll find that you stop worrying about your weight or going to the doctor for all though magic pills to cure whatever ails you... as nothing much will ail you!

Before you insult me for being wrong... look at the diet pill industry... now if everything is just fine why are so many people spending so much money to lose weight?

I agree with you Miss Lisa. No one has the right to discriminate other peoples culture and their dining habits. Even the most popular and influential country, the United states of America has obesity issues to handle. This is because of fast food chains. Sure the food are meatier or even healthier but if the consumption of these type of food continues without moderation then expect the population of large and obese Americans to continue shooting up.

people just need to know when to stop eating. you can eat your breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but people over eat because they are bored.

your right Geri, people tend to eat when there bored or stressed.

I think you should be able to eat what you want, when you want. If you get fat doing it than its your own problem. No one elses.

I agree... except when you are fat and/or unhealthy it affects me because I have to help pay your hospital bill!

your an idiot Ann. you make no sense.
